A child is father to the man
A child is a father to the man is a contradictory statement with multiple interpretations. This phrase, in my opinion, exalts the importance of childhood in a person’s life (both women or men). The father figure in the statement represents the education we receive. When the phrase “Child Is The Father Of Man” is used, it signifies that what we learn, as children shapes our adulthood. The father role is usually associated with wisdom and knowledge, therefore all of the knowledge we acquire as children serves as a father figure and guiding principle for us as adults.
One of the most significant areas of our lives is our childhood. Everything we think about in our childhood will impact our career and persona, from learning our first words through learning languages, reading, and writing. Some things may be forgotten as we become older, yet they will always be kept in our subconscious. Nostalgia is the most common term for it. When children were younger, they might have wished to be an actor, a cricketer, or a pilot, but as they get older and confront the realities of life, the majority of them wind up working for a company in a tedious 9 to 5 job.
Who we are is defined by the types of individuals we associate with. A criminal would always surround himself with other thieves, just as a good student would always surround herself with other good students, as our elders used to say. Like-minded people synchronize readily with each other, I believe, because that is the nature of human life.
